My family!

           Hey, it’s Brianna! Today we are supposed to pick a topic off a piece of paper and i picked to talk about my family! During the school year I don't really get to see or hang out with my family, but during the summer you better believe we are with each other every weekend or even sometimes days at a time. I have an older sister that is 26, and also a little brother who is 14. My grandmother’s name was Aldonna and my grandfather’s name is Mike. My grandma passed away four years ago and I miss her more and more every day I don’t get to see her. Sometimes when my grandpa picks me up from school I still want to run in his house and say grandma look what I got on my math homework! My grandparents had 5 children.

          In my family we have numerous cousins. There are 15 cousins on my mom’s side, and 6 cousins on my dad’s side. I never usually get to see my dad’s side of the family, unless I am at our family business or its Thanksgiving. Our family is very close… well most of the time. Since we are such a big family there tends to be a lot of who is going to have Grandpa over for dinner or who is going to clean his house. Mind you my grandpa is 83 going on 84 so he can’t really do much!

          I am very fortunate to live right next to my grandpa. He picks me up for school, we cook dinner for him, and clean his house and it is very nice to know that if I ever need anything or need to go somewhere he will be there. There will come a day that he won’t be there anymore and I thank God every day for him. Now I don’t have all of my family here so close to me. I have a cousin whose husband is in the Navy. She lives in Hawaii and I never get to see her. This past month she flew with her youngest child up to Rockford to surprise us. It was so great to see her.

          As you can see I have a very great family and I wouldn’t change anything about them. They are the best things in my life and I’m thankful that they are always there for me when I need them.
